We Believe in One God in Three Persons
The Father
Who miraculously created all things in six days
(Genesis 1)
Who cares for His creation as a father does his family (Psalm 145:15-16)
Who shares His Word to bring us into the fullness of His love (John 1:17)
Who graciously listens and responds to the prayers of His people (Phil 4:6)
The Son of God
Who is fully human and divine, God in the flesh
(John 1)
Who lived perfectly in this world of sin as our brother (Hebrews 4:14-16)
Who suffered and died for our sins, completely paying the penalty our sins deserve (1
Peter 1:18-19)
Who rose triumphant over sin, death and Satan, sharing His victory with all (1 Peter 1:3)
Who ascended to heaven to rule (Ephesians 1:20-23)
The Holy Spirit
Who creates faith in the hearts of people
through baptism and the Word of God (2 Corinthians 4:6; Romans 10:17; Titus 3:5)
Who sustains and builds faith through holy communion (Luke 22:19-20)
Who gives eternal hope and peace through the forgiveness of sin in Christ (Romans 15:13)
Who changes lives for the good (Ephesians 5:22-23)
Who gives believers partnership with Him in sharing Christ with the nations (Ephesians
2:10)
